Tips from Bucks County’s Favorite Plumber: When to Call for Sewer Services

If you’ve noticed sewer odors around your house, slow drains, or wet patches in your yard, it could mean there’s a problem with your sewer system. These are a few of the issues we commonly see in the community:

      Clogs and Blockages

Wastewater can’t move freely as non-flushable items accumulate in sewer pipes, sump pump discharge lines, or curb traps. A sewer cleaning can remove most of these blockages, but we suggest a sewer camera inspection for ongoing clogs.

      Broken, Cracked, or Collapsed Components

Pipes can crack, break, or collapse due to age, shifting soil, or freezing weather. This leads to leaks, poor drainage, and potential water damage. When sewer repairs aren’t enough to fix the problem, sewer line replacement might be unavoidable.

      Sewer Backups and Overflows

Issues like problematic tree roots, blockages, or an overfilled septic tank can cause dangerous sewer backups and overflows. Sewer jetting, curb trap repair, or sump pump repair can help your home and family, especially when groundwater is involved.

Completed 10/30/25 - Exp./ls Post-Job Notes: Customer has a dual system. I had to pull out the metal detector to find both vents. They were buried in the dirt. Went in the house flushed the upstairs toilet and all the water came up in the flames and in the basement shower went out front snake the main drain around 1520 feet. I had a hard spot that’s where the line opened. I did pull a little bit of roots out And a little bit of wipes around water in the house and I see all water at the vent when testing I did suggest to the customer that she might want to get a camera and see what that hard spot was, but the line is open. No Warranty
